Inch Cape installed an offshore Meteorological (Met) Mast on the wind farm site, 15km off the Angus Coast, in 2014 to gather accurate wind resource, direction and velocity data. It also measures atmospheric conditions and air density. This valuable data is transmitted back to the project office in Edinburgh where it first confirmed the site’s suitability, and now informs the wind farm design and underpins energy yield analysis.
