Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Limited is a joint venture between SSE (40%), Red Rock Power Limited (25%), Trig (17.5%) and Equitix (17.5%). The 84-turbine offshore wind farm, located approximately 13.5km off the Caithness Coast in the Outer Moray Firth, is one of the largest ever private investments in Scottish infrastructure at £2.6bn and one of Scotland’s largest single source of renewable energy. It is also the second largest offshore wind farm in Scotland with the potential to generate up to 588MW of renewable energy for the UK, and the fourth largest worldwide.
